St. Michael’s is definitely one of the most beautiful baroque churches in northern Germany. The altar has three sections each with key scenes from the life of Christ. At the bottom you see the Last Supper and above that the central image shows the Resurrection of Jesus. Above the large crucifix is a dove (Holy Spirit) in a gilded radiating circle and two kneeling angels at each end.
